My work is a visual journey of the current road I'm traveling. I am rediscovering my artistic directions through the use of photography and incorporating those images into my art.
As a Texas artist now living in Cody, Wyoming I am exposed to a wilderness wonderland that is full of awe and danger. I have an MFA in jewelry/metals from the University of North Texas where I studied with Harlan Butt. My focus, while pursuing my degree at UNT, was to explore the female figure through the use of chasing/repoussé and using anodized aluminum coloring processes with carved wood to express segments of my experiences as a woman. Upon receiving my MFA I taught jewelry/metals at several local colleges in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area, such as the University of Texas Arlington.
